Can anyone tell me about Philipino culture?

I rent a room for a Philipino family of 4. I notice them for a week they never shower when go out and when come back from outside. I did ask them Why never shower? They juz told me, we can't shower when we very tired. If not our body will get wind. Is this TRUE???
