I am curious, people from all different religions and cultures, who are devout in their beliefs seem to take such comfort and reliance in the "written word". That is completely fine, I don't disrespect anyones choice to believe what they want... My question is, these books written by living men....are they not open to interpretation? And where is the proof of the source of these words written by MEN?... I personally find it hard to comprehend that people have such undying faith in something that is not able to be proved as anything other than the words of other men.

The most read book is the Holy Bible started to be written by God through Moses about 3,500 years ago. It is written within a span of 1,500 years through 40 men in different places. Up to now, nobody has ever claimed copyright of any of the 66 books therein. The Holy Bible is a very exciting book and great wealth could be generated from there but no one comes forward to say that it is his own. If those are just words written by man, how did they arrive to write about the same subject matter? Those 40 men lived in different times also. Why is there no conflict in what were written there? Is it hard to believe that God can create that book when He has even created more wonderful creations like you? And if God did not create you, how then were you able to be here? And where are you going? You will find that in the Holy Bible.

Everything that we do is solely based on faith. It is faith that makes us believe in the word of God. Let me ask you a question........Did you ask for prove on all the types of food you eat, that they are really edible? When you buy bottled water, do you ask the shopkeeper if this was is really pure mineral water? Faith is the most important aspect in life. For me I will believe in the Bible till I get to Heaven and ask the writers like Moses what made them write the book.

HI Danielle11, I think you have brought up a great point and one Im inclined to agree with. I think I need a lot more proof before before I dived into something so powerful. I also think that in my family there are six of us and we can have miscommunication, what on earth makes them think that something that was written 2000 years ago wouldnt have been misinterpreted.
