I think that you should not hand your fertility over to god. I think you need to sit down with your partner and decide how many children you can comfortably provide for as opposed to just having babies left and right.
For example, at 21 my husband and I are responsible for the care of 5 children. 2 are mine biologically (with him), he has one from a previous relationship we have full custody of and we have adopted two of my family memebers - my sister and nephew. We live comfortably, no one is with out, yet no one is spoiled either.
My best friend at the same age has two childrent that she struggles to provide for.

This is where you leave it up to God, handing Him the control over everything, from how many children to finances as well. If He wants you to have 10 children He will provide the means for them as well. Its sad that you consider the blessing of beautiful children as being spewed out left and right. How sad you see their beauty like this!

Personally, I don't believe in God. There just isn't any proof to me. I think that leaving your financial stability to some high power that no one can prove exists is irresponsible. Children are blessings - but that doesn't mean you should have 15 of them if you can't take care of them.

I have never heard of this term. Do you mind me asking what region, country or religion this is from? Since you have said "god" I'm assuming that this is a Christian term.
I don't believe in birth control. I never have. I'm not one to run around willy nilly having "fun" with everyone though. I wanted a huge family. I wanted at least (yes at least) 13 children. But I was blessed with 1. I have been told that it could be dangerous to have more and my guy doesn't want anymore children right now so I am (somewhat against my own emotions and selfish wants) getting a birth control needle on a regular basis.

This is a Protestant Christian term. You can read about for yourself on Quiverfull.com This belief is wide spread and does not come from one specific area or region. They have some great articles on the website about the truth of how birth control works. Read up on it.
