Whose legs were severed on the ride? It happened in Louisville Kentucky Six Flags Superman Tower of Power Ride. The girl was 13 years old. Wow, can you imagine this happening to you? One of the witenesses said he thought it was screams of excitement, when infact it was screams of horror.. Does this make you want to got to Six Flags this summer now? Do you feel any safer getting on these type of rides?

I was looking forward to taking my son to six flags but after hearing that and other stories in the news lately regarding amusement parks, i have decided against it. I don't feel they are safe anymore!

I will certainly understand your point of view about the Kentucky Kingdom accident when the young girl had her feet cut off by the broken cable on the Superman Tower Of Power. I understand that you do not feel safe on rides anymore. Especially old ladies do not feel safe on thrill rides anymore. The young girl spoke about the ordeal in Washington, DC. We oughtta call for the toughest and strictest Federal regulations on all amusement rides. I will vote on it. Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom should have called on Intamin about the cables that had excessive fatigue which was the factor for the accident. My prayers and thoughts are out to the young girl and her family. This is the scariest story ever heard regarding amusement park rides.

I never felt safe on those rides. I always hated it when my family would go on rides when I was young, I was so afriad that somehtig bad would happen to them. This just reinforces my belief that they are not safe at all. I will never go on an amusment part ride again, except for maybe bumper boats and the merry-go-round.

I know the name of the young girl whose feet were severed at the ankles by a broken cable on the Superman Tower Of Power a.k.a. Hellevator, the Intamin AG Giant Drop model. The operators should have paid even close attention to what was going at first. They should have pushed emergency stop button to begin with. And the maintenance dept should have closely and thoroughly inspected the ride especially the cables. I rather not choose any Intamin type Giant Drop rides at all. I rather choose S & S Power high pressure compressed air operated tower rides. I am sure the cables and more and more different and stronger than the Intamin ones. I still feel awful for that poor girl and her family. My thoughts and prayers go out to them still.
