It is cold here in Australia now so my cat does a lot of sleeping inside as well and he goes outside just for a little while ti catch mice and rats too, in summer he only comes in to eat, I often wonder what this world be like if all the cats went on strike and stopped catching mice and rats, I think we would be in trouble...

My Columbus and Waffles sun bathe in the sunporch after they eat breakfast. Then they play, eat lunch and nap again. Just before I get into bed, they become active and run around. Tonight may be different, though, as I took in another cat, who is still in her carrier and probably traumatized after being taken from her home. Her master had to give her up, as there was a child who was allergic to cats.

My cats are relatively active in comparison to previous cats we have had. Our cats are let outside just after 9am in the morning. During the course of the day they will sleep, visit one of neighbours where they will either sleep or play, play with each other and/or our dog, chase leaves and if we are home, come in and out all day for nibbles. One cat without fail will come in during the day in the winter for an afternoon nap in warmer conditions. Sometimes they will get on the tin carport roof to try and get a bit of heat.
They are called inside every night before dark. They will then eat their dinner, sleep, play with each other and/or the dog, until we go to bed. Then when the house is in darkness they all seem to go to their little place and go to sleep until we start moving around in the morning.
