oh, so you aren't Christian may i ask in what religion are you in?, thanks i appreciate your shares, i suppose that they also use it there, cause think of this if they have the courage (like what i do:(..) to use it inside the chapel, then they would use it in the church too, thanks, good!!^^

I try to avoid using the phone while a mass is in session. I feel that it would be very disrespectful for me to do so. Usually, while at church, I'd turn my phone to silent mode so that it will not ring during mass. We are always reminded to do so before mass begins. Then after mass, I'd check my phone to see if I had missed any calls or smses and I'd contact them.

I've been in the church service and someone's cell phone has gone off. Everyone turns their head and tries to find the person who did it. It disrupts the service, so I'm not a fan of it, but I understand cell phone and pager use if someone is on call for their job, or waiting to hear about a sick relative. No ones usually used their cell phones at our church, but as I mentioned, some people forget to turn theirs off and they get calls during church time.

yeah, maybe people just forget to turn it off, it is just unitentionally (when it rings), but it is really embarrassing not only with the people around you, but also you re inside the House of your Creator, thanks..good!!^^

It is polite to turn off your phone while entering the church is the right thing to do. The ring of a telephone will be distracting to everybody participating in the services. When I go to church I will put my cell phone of.

have you thought about leaving your cellphone home or in your vehicle? that way if you forget to turn it off you won't cause a disturbance or be tempted to answering it.

whenever i am inside the church i usually turn my cellphone off so i can focus my attention to what is going on inside the church. the place is regarded as solemn so i believe any kinds of distraction must be avoided like phone rings. personally,it is disrespectful to other church goers who are worshipping and praying when suddenly your phone rings or beeps. it is even shameful to God that you allow others be disturbed in th middle of the church servcie just because of your phone ringing. it defeats the very purpose why you are inside the church if you entertain other things in your minds.

It is very very BAD using cell phones in church...! Its almost like insulting GOD in his place..! I like to give HIM the first priority in my life..!! SO messaging and using cell phone in a mass is far away thing with me..I even try not to talk in between the mass ..! anmd I always makes it sure that my cell phone is in vibrating mode..!!

I NEVER use my cellphone while attendind a mass, it shows you don´t appreciate what the priest is saying, bothers many people in the church, it shows lack of good manners, please don´t do that I guess it could offend God as well since he needs all the attention we can give to him.

USUALLY I forget about my cell phone from the night before and then its on silent, so its still on silent. Sometimes after church I put it on vibrate or let it ring. But during church? I try to NEVER make this mistake. I think if you get a call, take it outside! I dont think its WRONG to do this just answering during church is wrong. I know we all forget, turn them off. I do this in the theater on occasion too. Neither times has it become a problem. But be careful it might! Texting is just like emailing, in church. SO I'd never say do it. NO matter what. But I know people still do, shall, will.

at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass you are in God's presence, wholy and truly - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Think of it as being at Calvary at the foot of the Cross... would you be distracting yourself from being solemnly at the foot of the cross to have a discussion with a chum about mundane things? not only rude to those around you, but terribly rude to God. In my opinion.

Inside the church, I turn my cellphone to silent mode, and check it only after mass. Well, I don't judge other people as to call them wrong when they text inside church, but for me, I refrain from doing that because the mass, church service, or whatever worship you have is only once a week for about an hour or so. Surely, we have been using our phones from sunrise to sunset, day in and out, Monday to Sunday, and all we need is a one hour sacrifice not to use it and concentrate with the teachings of the Church. That's my point. Unless the call is an emergency, I never answer calls inside the church nor text messages. As to other people, as long as their actions do not disturb me or others, that's their own look out...it's not for me to judge. But the rules are clear...they should not disturb other people who would like to worship in peace....

No, I turned my phone off whenever im inside the Church Service, it's a way of respecting God in His house and just to concentrate my day with His presence while the service is going on.

No offense....but I would never use a cellphone in a church. I think this is not a good place to use it at all. It would be very disruptive to the people who are around you and are devoted to the cause of why they are there. I am not overly religious in nature, but I would never do that out of pure respect. cheers,

I don't use cellphone inside the church.I usually close the cellphone's power when I go to thechurch. I think I must respect the bishop, because the bishop represents the purpose of god.that is irrespective to use the cellphone inside the church.
