As you know the city I am staying in is Jinan. It is one of the four furnaces in China. In summer,it is so hot that I have to stay in the room with A/C turned on all day.My favourite sport in summer is swimming 2. Jinan city is famouse for another reason, that is, it is called the city of springs. but I must regretfully to say that I can find few places to swim here. I have to go to some gymnasiums to swim. The rate for swimming here is considerable high, about 20-50 yuan RMB for one hour and half. I go to swim quite ofen in summer. so this is not a small expenditure for me. I wish I lived near the seaside like you.

Thank you for your kind invitation, big girl. I am planning to go to your city to swim this summer. You know what? The reason for me to go there is like this. Averagely speaking, I have to spend about 20 yuan RMB for one hour to swim in my city. if I go to your city to swim in the sea. it is free, and everyday, I swim for ten hours. that means, I save 200 Yuan RMB each day. To save means to earn, so that is to say i can earn 200 yuan RMB each day. If I stay there for a month and swim everyday, that means: 30 (days) x 200 (yuan RMB)= 6000 yuan RMB WOW, that is really a lot of money I can earn in one month. don't you think so? Such a fat profit it is! I see no reason why I should not go there. See you soon, big girl.lol.........

Hey WM, is hot in China ? In India rainy season is approaching and we are to say good-bye to 4 months long summer season. So question of going to beaches etc does not arise to cool down. As we will be cooling down by rain itself. I enjoy being wet in rain. Though in summer season I love to swim early morning and at evening hour for at least one hour daily. This keeps me cool. As I am living in middle part of India, we do not have beach facility near about. If we have to enjoy at beach then we will have to go on tour to mumbai or goa for one week or so.

I prefer to shower in cold running water. Drinking cold water such as a glass of chrysanthemum water and eating water melons can also cool down our bodies. One can also use the electric fan or stay indoors with air-conditioning.

Swimming is good but beaches and pools are always packed during summer time, so I just stay home and save my energy. At night I turn on the a/c to full, while sleeping naked. In the afternoon I take a cold shower; if the water is not cold enough I fill a bucket with water and put ice in it, then bathe with it. It's really hot here in the Philippines especially during the summer, so such measures aren't uncommon to Filipinos.

When I have work to do outside and I'm too hot, I do what the cowboys used to do: soak a bandanna (or large hand towel) in cold water and drape it around my neck. Works like a charm! Even when I'm so hot I can't stand it, this method keeps me cool, and it works quickly too. I don't have time to go to the beach here at the Lake, and there's wayyyyyyyy too many people there to really enjoy it. I also keep a little kiddie pool in the back yard and fill it with water...every now and again I sit in a lawn chair with my feet in the water. I find if your feet are comfy, the rest of you is comfy too.

Summer already got here, and it's very very hot (at least it's too hot for me). The average for a day is about 34 to 38 degrees Celsius. Fortunately, in my area it rains very often, especially in summer, because of the high level of water in the soil. I used to go swimming in the city river, but now I don't do it anymore, as it got more and more polluted. I don't like public swimming pools, as they get crowded (and I don't like crowded areas, unless I'm at a concert).
