This isElwood the Uglest dog in the world

I tried to get this picture to go with my discussion Only a mother could love me but it didn't want to load at the time so here is Elwood. He was rescued by Karen Quigley. Elwood is Chinese Crested and Chihuahua mix. He won the annual ugly dog contest at the Marin-Sonoma County Fair. Do you have an ugly dog that only a mother could love?

im not suprised he won the contest,he is so ugly,but very creepy looking.im sure he is a lovely dog though and deserves the best like any other dog.sometimes some dogs are so ugly that they grow on you and end up cute in their own way.take care.

The person that took him would have to get him as a puppy to love him. Baby of any kind are cute

Yes it is a very ugly dog. Well the article said it was a dog. so I'm thaking them at their word.

This dog isn't just ugly..he is scary. He is the stuff that bad dreams are made of. Just one question..Is Karen visually challenged? They say there is someone for everyone in the world, this dog is lucky to find that someone.

I don't think that this Karen is visually challenged. But you know some things are so ugly that they can be cute as babies. But I don't think that this dog is one of them. He may have been cute as a pup though.

I have to agree that is one ugly dog. None of our three dogs are ugly. I have never seen an ugly dog in person that I can think of. We go to the Humane Society here once a week or every other week and I haven't seen one there either. Its wonderful that Karen was able to save the dog.

Yes I agree with you that it was wonderful of Karen to rescue this dog. He must have really toughed her heart. I have never seen a really ugly dog ether.
