how can you know that the people around you are friends or foe?

You can't. It's all based on how far you want to go in a relationship with anyone, whether it be good friends to best friends to significant others. It's up to you to decide how much trust to put into somebody. i think its up to u whom to consider as the real friends. but it would also be based on time. the ones who are still there for you even when u guys are old, can be the real ones..you'll never really know. some may go away because of some reasons but that doesn't mean that they aren't true. as long as you're true to them as well, they'll most likely be true to u!! go! be real!!:P have great friends!:P
