slow website is so irritating

I used to use dial up and sites took ages to load. It was very irritating. I think now I am on broadband it is faster. Perhaps less popular sites load more quickly than ones that are very popular. If many members of a site are all using it at one time things can be slow. I like digital photography. Before one holiday I bought a memory card with capacity for about 600 images. At the time I thought this was great. But when it has that many photos on it takes hours to download. With hindsight I should have bought five memory cards with capacity for fewer images. Then it would have been far quicker to download the photos.

It is extremely irritating, and it only gets worse as the popularity of the site grows. It's like you want your friends to all be in the same place, but once they get there, you can't hardly communicate with them anyway.
