graphics power!

yeah, a MUST! I plan to buy a 1gb DDR3 Gf 8000GT, hahaha, but not for VISTA, instead for following games; 1.Alone in the dark (5) 2.Starcraft 2 3.Assassin Creed 4.Silent Hill 5 (I hope there's PC version) 5.Resident Evil 5 (yeah, there must be pc version) 6.Devil may cry 4 (although my current card might able to handle this game) 7.and more I use openSUSE and wana make most of Compiz Fusion

Well i wouldn't say i am buying 8800gt to make the most of vista....but surely what interests me is directx 10 gaming. Awesome Visuals! have you seen the new game "project offset"? awesome! just awesome!. But now 9600gt is coming out with directx 10.1? till recently i was sure i was going to but the 8800gt, now i am not too sure. Any help will be much appreciated.

Now i am using a graphics card Nvidia 4000 Mx.But i wish to upgrade it for the latest games.But i am not going for 8800 because it is not affordable for me.But i wish to buy the graphics card Nvidia 8500 which is suitable for all the latest games and applications with graphics memory of 256/512 MB and it is DirectX10 supporting.It is available from 70$ to a maximum of 90$.

As soon as the price fits my budget...lol
