What is maturity? Who should we give respect to?

What makes you think one is a grown-up or not? What is maturity? More experience? More Knowledge? More ages? In my culture, the youngers should respect the elders. But things changed. This generation just need a reason to give a respect. Respect should come from heart and sincerity that the person is worth respecting. The person that I can respect is only that type. Maturity can always be seen from how ones can handle problems and manage things in thier life. What is your opinion?

maturity is a difficult thing to distingush b/c one can be "grown up" but still have maturity. sometimes its good for a person to be immuture it reminds then that its ok to allow the interchild in everyone to show. But the main thing about maturity is paying bills on time, putting whats right b4 wrong and sometimes putting priority over pleasure.
