There must be a mistake in the router configuration. start over from the beginning. Include the router connection in firewall settings. Good Luck.

Hi, Ok, what operating system r u using?. If the conf. setting r correct, it wont give u a bad result. If possible, try re-installing the operating system and start over with the router installation. Please provide me with more informations.with warm regards.......

It is obviously difficult to predict a problem with limtied information, but here are a few suggestions.
Before attempting to connect to the router wirelessly, run an ethernet cable (RJ45) from your computer to the router and set the router up manually.
Apart from the settings that your ISP have supplied such as username and password etcetera, you should check through other settings such as SSID (Usually WLAN or ANY) and which wireless channel is being used (Usually 11). The settings on your PC should match the router settings.
Also check if encryption is being used and ensure that the encryption settings match in both cases.
Installing the whole software for the router is recommended for the initial setup, because this will provide easier access to the information that you require.
If you can configure the router to give you access via a cable then you can remove it and try to connect wirelessly.
