Do you use a snipe program when you bid on ebay? I use a program but rarely, usually that takes too much effort for me and I just bid and hope for the best, or do a buy it now if its available. I always lose to the snipers, ahhh. What about you?

lol- I signed up for some program a while ago- It calls you when the auction is about to end- and you can enter a bid to win it- I gave the service my work number- so it calls there and leaves a message- I am sick of losing out at the last minute also- I was trying to win some salt/pepper shakers for my parents- my mom collects them- I was high bidder right up to final seconds- and still lost!

Hi there 4cuteboys When I buy something on ebay I just use the buy it now feature because I hte making a bid on something and then waiting 3 or 4 days to see if I won it or not. Before they started the buy it now feature I used to have lots of problems with that. I've never really thought about getting a sniper program but what happens if two people are useing a sniper program? does the bid just keep going up? Take care, Terry

I've never used a sniper program, but I've been outbid by them several times. Usually it's not a big deal, though, because I put in my actual max bid early on for the most part. Every once in a while, I will raise it later in the auction if I get outbid, but not very often. I try to just decide what something is worth to me and go with it. My husband sometimes raises the bid several times before the auction is over, though. He gets really frustrated with snipers.

I don't have this program & have never heard about it but i am a late bidder anyway :) If i want something enough, i will place a bid & see how many others want it too. If i think i am going to be outbid in the dying seconds i up my bid, if i have been outbid i wait until the same dying seconds & make my bid higher. I am usually pretty successful doing it that way but would never want to pay something to have a program do it for me i don't think! I don't usually worry about BIN options unless i REALLY want the item or the price is good but i have found people start their auctions low & have a rather high BIN so in that case, i'll just bid coz it's easier.

I've never been the victim of snipers, probably because there isn't much I care enough to have. I'll just bid a reasonable amount (which for me is almost ALWAYS low *LOL*), cross my fingers and check in a few days to see if I won or not. :) My boyfriend gets REALLY frustrated with them, though. He was bidding on skins for his and his brother's new MacBook Pros, the auction had less than 5 minutes left, so he went to the bathroom and came to check on how I was doing with supper. He went back downstairs and someone beat his bid by 10 cents within that time. He was so mad that he just went and bought 2 skins through the Buy It Now feature and said to heck with bidding.

No, I don't use a snipe program on eBay. There are times that I wish I did, though, especially since we have been finding more things to buy on eBay lately. I usually just try to either use "Buy it Now" or decide on the absolute most that I will pay for something, and then not worry about whether I get outbid or not. I figure if someone really wanted something enough to outbid me, they can have it. :)

I don't use a snipe program, but I do put a maximum bid on my item. No matter what anyone does, it will outbid them up to that price. If they bid in the last second and my maximum bid is higher, then I will be the winner. That's basically how I've won every auction, unless the price was getting too high, then I would quit.

I have lost a few auctions to snipers but then I have sniped myself, I would w wait until the auction was almost over and then put in my highest bid. As long as that bid was the highest then I would win but if the high bidders bid was even higher he/she would have to pay that higher price for that auction. I do not have a program or a service, I just do it on my own if I can remember when the auction is ending.
