One of the ways of making money on a website or blog is by selling text links on your site. This is big business and some of the bigger blogs can get up $200 a month per link, the links normally start at 5 to 10 dollars for less popular websites.
On a few of my sites I have managed to sell monthly slots for around 10 dollars each per month, you only need to sell 10 to 20 of these and it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that reasonable passive income can be made.
There are companies out there like text link ads that act as a brokerage between advertisers and publishers however the problem with companies like this is that they only deal with sites with minimum traffic requirements.
I recently started a site where you can promote the text links that you are selling for free by posting in the text link buzz forums on my site http://www.textlinkbuzz.com so if you are interested in selling (or buying) links why don't you check it out.
It pays to have an advertising page set up on your site linking to your paypal account. An example of one of these is also on my site.
Is this something you would consider doing? or do you think it is unethical to sell links on your website?
