Do you ever pretend?

Do you think a person can pretend to be someone so long that they actually turn into that person?
For instance, could you pretend to be cool and turn into someone that others thought was cool? If you pretended to be like a celebrity, could you become famous? If you acted rich, could you attract money? Could it be that celebrity, fame and wealth are just a state of mind, available to anyone?

Well, I still think the brain is such a fasinating system! I think if you actually believe in something and you believe it strong enough, your brain will lead you to work towards to "goal". I think it's more of a self-confidence and that's the positive one. By reading your discussions, I think about some people who don't have something in life and they would pretend to have that something. It really depends if they actually believe it would happen. If not, they are just pretending for the rest of their lives and it would eventually annoy the people around them *laughs*. Just a thought!

Well, theres some people who do things just for show, to make themselves look good. Actions without sincerity. Thats fake. But the sad part is, some people don't even realize that they're fake. Some truely believe that they're sincere and pointing it out to them won't help them see themselves for who they really are.

I think it is possible in the form of role playing but that's about it.
I don't know if I could actually do that. I've always been myself and that was it.
Not sure if I could act rich and if it would attract money to be honest. Could it happen? Perhaps. Perhaps not. I have no idea.
