I have an issue that I am hoping someone can help me with. When I start a discussion and someone responds to it I get notified of this so I go in and reply to the response. Well if someone responds to my reply I don't get notified that there is a response to that reply. Is this like this for everyone or are my settings needing changing?

There are quite a few responses to my responses that I don't get. It's not a consistent thing because sometimes I do get comments to my comments, but not always. I've found it pretty frustrating too because I can't keep up enough to double check if I don't get the emails. I'm not sure whether it's a setting problem or not because I have yet to find where that could be fixed.

That's just how it is. I asked MyLot about it once. They said they are working on it. But for now I go back and periodically check since you don't get notified more than once on that discussion.

Ok Thanks I appreciate the info. Rather annoying though. I can't imagine trying to see them all if you have more than 5 pages. You couldn't do it! :)

Well, a lot of times it just so happens I never get these so I have to just continuously have to go check out the Discussions that I have started and see who has responded and then go from there. Even after you choose someone for Best Response you will probably have to go back in there and check to see if they responded, as there are a lot of Gliches in this site.

It is like that for everyone I guess they have it that way for a reason. Thanks for the comment. :)

It's the same for me. It's either another myLot bug or they have decided to only offer notifications for the first level.

Hey! No talking like that on my discussions unless it is to me! Hehehe ;) I am always surprised at how quick you reply which is why I was thinking that maybe we should get the notifications. Since you don't either well then I guess I will just have to deal like the rest of ya! *sigh* :P

Hello, tmlnmr,i think there is a glitch in the notification system,i always have delay in getting the message in my email, when i just go back to the discussion,i have found out there are heaps of reply in those new discussions, occasionally,i may not be able to get any notifications from some members. You cannot do anything to change this glitch.

Hi easy, maybe your right! I get delays as well even with the first response it can get frustrating when you reply then get the notification and go back in there and it is for the one that you already replied to. I guess I will just have to deal with it. Thanks for the comment. :)

Gah, I wish myLot allowed us to have notification for replies to our responses. I don't think there's any way to change that though. I briefly go over my discussions specifically just for this - to check for any replies to my responses. There's no way else I'd know otherwise.

I don't think there is either. Rather frustrating isn't it?! I often check mine to I hate not responding to people that have taken the time to respond to me. Thanks for the comment. :)

I have been through that before. I always thought that it is because I have already choosen a best response to my discussion, and that's why I don't get notified when others continue to respond. But then again I could be wrong, or lokking at it the wrong way! Nonetheless, I usually go into the discussions I have started once a week and see if anyone has commented or responded:)

I don't know I am sure it has done that even when I haven't checked the best response. I am constantly going into them as well it just seems that in one particular case the person seems to know when I have responded to their reply and have replied again very quickly. Could just be coincidence I guess. Thanks for the comment. :)

When you start a discussion and someone responds to your discussion its a direct response and so you get notified about the response. But when someone comments on your comment for the response its indirect. I mean, it is by default considered as a comment on the response given by that other person and not you. So, the notification goes to that person and not you. If this is the problem, I think, you should just check the discussions started by you and look for the last response. If its other than your response it means someone else has commented. You can then go and check the response. If the problem is that you are not notified about the responses given by the members maybe you have to check your friends list and check the notify icon.

That would make sense. I was thinking that to. The friends notify icon is just for notification that they started a discussion. That is kinda dumb though because the person isn't commenting necessarily on the first comment they are usually commenting on the comment that was just made. Anyway, they should be notifying both individuals. LOL. Thanks for the comment.
