Has anyone worked out in a swiming pool and has it helped? Let me know I think I want to give it a try.

i think swimming in a pool is 1 of the best ways to get fit. working out is easier to do and you can do more and really tone up with the water making you feel the exercises are light and easier. ive done aqua aerobics and taught some classes as well everyone seems to enjoy them and it makes exercising different and more fun sometimes swimming exercises are great for the legs and arms as well

Swimming is a very good workout. It burns calories and yet doesn't put a lot of stress on your joints. And the resistance of the water forces you to work harder to counteract it, which burns more calories.

Exercising in a pool will reduce the amount of impact on your joints and help you tone up a bit quicker. Since you are exerting more energy moving against the weight of the water, you will burn more calories in the process. Swimming is great but most local pools offer water aerobics or water exercise classes for a small fee or in some places, they offer them for no charge.
