When eating chicken, I think most of us prefer drumsticks especially children.
My husband likes chicken wings and the back of the chicken as he doesn’t like the fleshy parts.
Chicken breast is believed to be the best part of the chicken that contains less cholesterols so it’s my mother in law’s favorite.
In my place it’s believed that to take chicken tail often could make one’s face complexion good as well as smooth and tender. Quite often my colleagues would rush for it when dinning in the same table lol…
Roasted chicken, steamed chicken, curry chicken, which do you prefer?
Hi my friends,
Which part of the chicken you like/dislike most?
Do you eat chicken with hands or knife and fork?
When and where and with whom do you normally like to take chicken?

Hehe both of us are drumstick lovers. Anyhow I do prefer to take crunchy fried drumsticks in kfc. Nothing to worry to eat by using hands at the fast food restaurant as there always have washing basins provided at kfc. Yeah, it is really enjoy eating crispy foods like potato chips, ... while watching tv movies or reading.

Hi rhane, for me, crispy and spicy fried drumstick always is the best part of the fried chicken. You are right, we could get the real taste of the fried chicken only eating with our bare hands. After finish eating the chicken we still could enjoy sucking our fingers, right
Hi dian, I’m glad to have you drop in on here. It’s nice for you to say hi to both of your friends here, right.
Hi my dear, you are quite picky and know very well to pick all the wonderful parts of a chicken. Hehe I do like the drumstick and the upper legs
If I were given the chance to pick, I would rather like to be a real leader but not a leader comes from eating the heads of the chicken lol ...
I believe you haven’t taken your meal yet, so you feel hungry when talking about chicken haha . . .

Hi you two! So good to see you both in one discussion:D
i like drumstick, upper legs and wings.Yum yum!
Old Jawanies people believe that if we eat the head, we can be the leader of a community, and i don't care if im not the leader. lolbut i hate the head of chicken with fried eyes and tongue out, yuck! i felt sorry for the chicken seeing him like that.
Don't you think discussing about food make you hungry? or it's just me?

Lovely! What a creative and a cute answer given! My dear friend, ericha. If it were really true, I would like to take lots of wings of the birds as well lol... Then we could behave like birds, roaming as free as the breeze, around whatever place we wish.

I don't like taking meat since my childhood but my family forced me to take. LoL. I know they want me to take it for my own good. For chicken, the best part I like is drumstick because it's the easiest and the part I scare most is the back side (buttock). Actually I don't like most of the parts because I need to peel the flesh from the bones and it's gross for me.

Oh! What a pity to force an innocent child to take chicken which he doesn’t like though the parents might think good for him.
I do feel sorry, cheongyc, as I did pester my kid to do so. I hope he would understand when he becomes mature lol..
I do like drumsticks too as coincidently I was a drum player in the school brass band during those sweet middle school days LOL…

In fact, drumstick is also my favorite. When I was a kid, I was always given the drumstick by my mother. I hope that you are now used to eating drumstick instead of being g forced to eat drumsticks now. By the way, I do not like the chicken skin. I am very happy to see both C and L here in the same discussion for me to be the third one.

Wow! My dear friend, jisir, your new avatar really gives me an impression of freshness with tranquil and lovely outlook. Do you believe changing avatar could change luck, if so I would follow you as well It’s better not to take any chicken skin as it contains much fat that is bad to our health. I am glad to know the three of us enjoy taking drumstick. It is better three of us not to take a chicken together as there are only two drumsticks for the bird. Really, good matching! It happens that J comes between C and L alphabetically.

The best part I like in a chicken is the thigh part. I don't really like much the wings because of its skin which contains too much cholesterol. I don't really much like the bre@st part either becuase I'd like to have some part of the skin on. Soooo, I'd like to think of myself to indulge in moderation. I prefer to eat not too much cholesterol, just in the middle.LOL
Usually I like to eat chicken done by roasting. I do roasting at home in my turbo broiler. I don't really like much chicken curry because the spice is too strong for me. I eat my chicken with knife and fork and without also, can eat with my bare hands.

You do know how to take the best part of the chicken, the thigh which I say so because it’s also my most favorite part of the chicken lol I am quite indulgent in taking it as I usually don’t bother about cholesterol present in any part of the chicken at the time when I am taking it. Nevertheless I don’t take chicken too often and mostly on vegetarian nowadays.
You are such a diligent housewife. Other than taking care of your kid, busy with your daily household chores, doing mylotting you still could manage to find time to prepare your favorite chicken recipe. I think it must be very tasty and I hope to have a taste of it yummy...yummy...

Hi sophylline. I am not a strictly vegetarian and I take more vegetables than meat. For meat I mostly take fish as it is not so fatty and I could get lots fish which are fresh from the fishing village nearby.
I agree too, balanced diet is essential for health. It’s true that nowadays people have become more and more conscious about taking less cholesterol which will cause much trouble in health.
Any how when facing any delicious food like chicken thigh with skin and ... we always couldn’t refrain ourselves from taking it lol...

See, the thigh part is the best.lol yummy.
Wow, that is interesting that you are on vegetarian diet now. So, does that mean you are strictly vegetarian? You must be very disciplined to have this lifestyle change or you have become used to it already? I like vegetables a lot personally. But I would rather eat everything with their respective nutrition and in moderation. I think having eaten in balance is a good way.
Having a balance also at home is my goal and that is why I also get help from the house. Chicken roasting in turbo broiler is very simple, and less cholesterol than frying the chicken. I'm also quite conscious on these fattening and unhealthy oil, from time to time.lol

I like the wings most. I like it because the flavors usually are best with the wings. I think because it has the less fat plus the bony part gives the best tastes.
I can eat chicken using my hands. But usually, I use spoon and fork. And sometimes, even chopsticks.

Chicken is our favoured delicacy, but truely, not every part of a chicken is nice to eat. It amazes how different people like different parts of the Kitchen! As for me there is the gizzard and the upper portion of the thigh that attaches onto the pelvis-the far end of the drumstick-my goodness! Am even getting wet in the mouth right now, that is what am absolutely obsessed with when it comes to choosing the part I like most about this domestic fowl called chicken!

Oh young girl, you are such a great chicken eater! Any way it's nice to take chicken and I think it's better than pork whch contains much fat and chalesterol wich could be unhealthy to our body if taken excessively. But remember, gal,it's better to take chicken without the fatty skin though some people consider skin as their most favorite part. I hope you are not one of them lol...
Happy postings and have a good day.

Hi Bujoseth. I do like the thighs part of the bird, whereas my husband likes the wings. Of course, I agree with your saying, to eat thighs and wing with our hands could really enjoy eating them more relaxed. It also involves sense of touch. Yummy...yummy...

My favorite part of the chicken is the wings, followed by the legs. I prefer soup chicken because I love chicken soup very much. My wife likes chicken paws. And my son likes chicken legs very much. So we can share a ready-made chicken very well.

You have a pretty nice combination of chicken eaters in your family lol… This made me to recall a story that I’d read when I was a kid, saying that “… the husband could eat no fat and the wife could eat no lean. The bones left were given to the dog …”.

It is a very combination for sharing the chicken in my family. Sometimes I develop my eating habit of eating the part that my family don't eat. Thanks for your response. lol.

Being one of those odd vegetarian types (well, I am actually a pescatarian) I would have to say that I don't like chicken.
I don't even like live chickens as I am terrified of birds!

I don't like the fleshy parts, they taste kinda bland. I enjoy wings and drumsticks. I like to eat chicken with my hands. That is, if I'm at home. If I'm in a public place, I use utensils. I enjoy almost any dish with chicken, especially with soup.

Hello ikbooi:-)
i also love chicken. i eat it almost everday. when i was a child, my family used to raised chicken in the backyard and we usually cook chicken curry on sundays.
as the youngest in the family, i always get the drumstick so it became my favorite part. but now, i think chicken wings is the best. funny because my mother love the butt part...don't know but she claims it is the tastiest part of a chicken.
anyway, my professor once shared her observation that the tastiest part of the chicken are the parts that moves a lot like wings, legs,etc...wll it makes sense to me.
i eat chicken with knife and fork mostly and i want it roasted. happy eating:-)

Hi misshoney,
You are really a fan of chicken who almost eating it daily.
I agree that the youngest in the family always gets the drumstick as it’s fleshy and less born.
Hahaha… I’m glad to learn from you that the tastiest parts of the chicken are those involving much movement. I believe it consists of special muscles.

the true is I don't like chicken T______T
I don't know why , maybe because when I was about 8 or 9 years old, my aunt cook for me chicken day by day, untill I can't eat it anymore and I have to tell mom that I hate chicken :D
But sometime when mom make chicken soup, I love to try a bit ^^.
It's nice
