How do you celebrate your birthdays?

Do you celebrate your birthdays or you just let others do it for you? How much effort do you put in to show others how you value your birthdays?

I always celebrate my birthdays, sometimes its a 1 week celebration for me. Parties for family, friends, schoolmates, colleagues and my special someone =) Its my way of showing thanks and how glad i am reaching this age and also hoping for more years to come.
