Do you feel safer when you fly or take the ship when you travel abroad?

i think going by plane is better and faster than in ships. but of course, going on cruise is also okay since this is also one kind of adventure.

Once I got on a flight and took a newspaper only to find a picture and story about Concorde crashing. This did not help my confidence, or that of the other passengers. However I have taken many plane journeys and have been safe so far. Crashing is about as unlikely as winning the lottery. One of my friends flew with a airline that did not provide good air in the cabin. She needed a face mask during the journey! I always choose to fly with airlines that take passenger comfort seriously and that have s good safety record. I remember seeing, the the second time in my life, the film Rain Man aboard a flight to the USA. The guy in the film was scared of flying and had listed airline names that had crashed. So the airline on I was on wiped that conversation off the film. The only one he had considered was safe, was Qantas. This was not very helpful as they fly to Australia, not across the USA. Travel by ship is fine, if the weather is pleasant and the sea is calm. I prefer short trips by ferry as I can feel a bit sea sick sometimes. My favourite type of transport is train.
