What are you doing for animals?

When you go shopping, do you pay attention to what products use animal testing and boycott those products?
Do you donate to the ASPCA? Do you refuse to wear or buy fur?
I do all of the above. I know one person can make a difference and that's why I signed up for the PETA.
They send me panphlets that show me what companies do animal testing so I can avoid them and stickers I can use to get my point across to companies that do.
Here is one of their websites, if you would like to join in the effort.

OK. I'm naughty. I only know about the animal testing status of my face scrub.
We haven't been able to donate to the ASPCA.
I don't really like fur, so that isn't a problem.
We DO keep a watch when we go into stores to see if they are selling illegal animal parts. We were in one store that had baby alligator heads for sale. We checked on that immediately.
We also report any poaching we see. Some people catch fish that aren't legally big enough to keep or a protected species. Or just catch them and not want them so they leave them on the sand to die.
We try to help in whatever way we can.

Thanks for the tip. Once I get acclimated, I might be able to wear makeup again. Right now I sweat like a fiend and can't wear ANYTHING!

I agree with you here riptide. I have not bought a product tested on animals in years. We raise organic beef and chicken which is much more humane. It is a more expensive process, with less profit, but I feel alot better about raising animals for meat that way.
We are also a temporary emergengy center for abused animals. Alot of them end up spending the rest of their lives with us or I get to decide who adopts them.
There are enough companies out there that do not test on animals so we can completely ignore those companies that use that practice.

Yes I agree. I was surprised at the long list of comapnies that don't use animal testing.
When it comes to cosmetics, I like to stick with Yves Rocher, since they don't use animal testing and it's all plant derived.
I am not a vegetarian, lord knows I tried lol. But I do try to stick with meat and chicken from free range animals.
