I grew up first with only VHF TV (2-13) At that time it was mostly some daytime and saturday shows I remember, most were local. Some night shows stood out like Ed Sullivan, and Sargeant Bilko.
Then as we got UHF, we got to see a lot of the original anime like AstroBoy, Kimba the White Lion, Speed Racer.
And at nights were Get Smart, Gilligan's Island, and the night time cartoons like the Flintstones.
The next step was the politically incorrect shows like All in the Family and the Jeffersons, and Chico and the Man.
As cable and satellite came in, I hate to say it, tv has not improved, but we just get so much more of it. I am more likely to watch the sports channels now over any individual shows. And broadcast tv has imporved more then cable tv has. Right now I enjoy House, Criminal Minds, and Heroes.

Oh I forgot about Full House and 90210! They were like my ultra favourites. Silly me. Na I don't think Sigrid was ever on Home and Away. She may have been a guest but she was never a major character. I'm suprised you've heard of her! She's a great actress.
