I have a brother multi function printer that has separate colour cartridges in it so that if one colour runs out that is all that I have to replace and I am really happy with this as it does everything that I want it to do

- Sometimes I miss the manual feed buttons of my 1984 Epson Stylus II monochrome jet, it lets me print the paper from any feed advance, manually set. I used this way printing few lines and pictures each time from different documents, good to save paper. Once, it got burned by an AC outlet shock, but it was repaired by technicians; good service. - Since then i used Canon, Lexmark, which are not bad at all, just too automated. Although ... they started to fail with no apparent reason, plus some incompatibility of the latter when changed to Windows Vista, new drivers don't fix it. Now I use a Hewlett-Packard. - I would like a color laser printer with solid ink (a vax block)from Xerox, formerly branded as Tektronix.

I've always been using HP since the print head is on the cartridge unlike Epson and Canon (old models). Although Canon has a new model with the print head attached to the cartridge, the quality is still far from HP and they only give colored cartridged on the printer. Why is it important that the print head is on the cartridge? Its simple, if its attached to the cartridge and its kinda clogged or destroyed maybe, then you can easily buy a new cartridge and not a new printer.

I own a canon but cartridges really expensive. I prefer an Epsom as easy to use and reasonable cartridge costs
