Do you favor Sweet Revenge?

Do you sometimes commit this. well, revenge is bad I know but some will do this just to be and feel contented.
I posted a topic which is so sensitive. I think almost 20 answered it. It is something about the Muslims as to them being judged as terrorists in a single sight which is wrong. Correct me if I am wrong but I just made the title look catchy to know what their reaction would be.
I am expecting that they will put up an argue with me as to why I have that as my title and yes some did. The point there is that, People judge by the way the title says it. They don't further read more or explore or research more about the topic instead of just judging plain facts which is second hand.
Another discussion is the PBB Season 2. I just share a piece of article made by someone in a forum stating that a boycott is in need to teach the station for their wrong decisions. Some made an argumentation as expected. I like it that way. Prove yourself is more lovely than not. I feel more appreciated in that way.
Now, revenge, what's it relation to these? My ratings just got low from 10 to 9 just in hours. I keep on answering some of discussions here about my current fave band which is FOB [Fall out boy] and then I just noticed that I have noticed that I got the red star again.
Can this be a case of sweet revenge? at first I have an idea on who did gave me a negative and started thinking of doing a sweet revenge of my own but I failed. I'd rather watch a FOB vid than go think about my star.

Wow it does sound like someone may be giving you some bad ratings. I do tend to often 'think of sweet revenge' but very rarely if ever do I actually do anything - just let it go and get on with my life seems to work best. I like the saying, 'what goes around comes around' if someone is doing something bad eventually someone else will do the same to them.

yes that is. some people can't really understand some points I am pointing out and it appears to them the negative way. I will just let them live their life the way they want it to be. thanks byfaithonly. ;)

I tend to just pass up discussions that I don't understand or that I feel may be controverial - I don't like controversy but I don't rate them either way - If I respond to a discussion it will get a + rating, if I can't rate it + I won't respond.

I shouldn't.
Although some people really have gotten to me and I have plotted ways of getting them back. Most times I don't because I prefer to be calm and caring, as for those who push my buttons will get a reaction. (sadly)
Being honest I'm sure they regret doing so.

P.s this is in the real world though, I never do it online. :)

Revenge is thought to be sweet. But it canalso come back and bite you in the butt. I believe in leaveing revenge to god. What goes around comes around. In otherwards what is given out comes back. So Revenge is not always sweet. Just keep doing as you have been and let nature take it's course. Those stars are not as important as people seem to think they are. I on't know what mine is at the moment. I don't usually even look at them.

I am glad that you are a non judgemental person. As a muslim I will give you my point of view. I really don't mind if there is a discussion targeted towards muslims that is catchy but then again there is also something called offensive that I believe that no person be it a muslim or a non muslim like to hear or read.
I do indeed agree with you that people often react to the title before actually reading the whole discussion but then again I am not sure whether this may be in your knowledge or not but just type muslim or Islam in the search box and you will see 1000's of discussion openly hating Islam. That is one of the reason that we muslims might become a little over reactive at times.
As for revenge I think I know what it really means, I won't take any names here but there was this topic I responded to which was aimed at degrading Islam and the topic starter and some of his/her friend's were there just to abuse Islam rather than going on for a healthy debate.
I debated a lot in the topic and I was called every name in the book, directly and indirectly and I did not abuse anyone or even swear at anyone for that matter but the next 10 to 5. I wasday my star came crashing down from under the impression that myLot had ways to detect whether a user had a "stalker" out for revenge but sadly it is not so.
As for star ratings, to be honest I do not care about it anymore and would not mind if I get a rating of 1.
Just like you I have better things to worry about rather than my star rating going down. I am here for fun and no bunch of sadistics are ruining it for me :)

I don't really like that kind of revenge. I am one of those who would go for vindication but never revenge. As to revenge being sweet, I do feel and agree with that and there is nothing sweeter than to see that person have his own dose of medicine. I find revenge really unnecessary though, because I believe in universal justice. What goes around comes around and you reap what you sow. It is just a matter of time before it would catch up on the person.

i really thin this rating system needs to go. I really makes me mad the way members give a negative rating just because they don't like the member or he or she said something they don't like

I read that discussion and responded to it. There was nothing that should have offended anyone but that may well be why your rating went down. Don't worry about it . It won't affect your pay and I'm sure it'll go back up again. Revenge is a waste of time and energy.

I had responded to the discussion and thought the way you had worded it was good . You used your title to catch the eye of others and that is what will get more attention is when one can word something regarding their topic .
As for revenge it is something I always think about when I am hurt but never go through with it becaue common sence always comes back before I do anything I might regret later . Revenge sounds good at the time but how are we any better then the person that hurt us if we are looking for revenge on what they did to us . We have to prove , even if only to ourselves , that we are better then that .
