I admit, I really am horrible at this. I want to be good at it, but I just end up forgetting, putting off, you name it, and then never getting around to sending off the cards I really have every intention of sending. :( Occasionally, I will do a good job and get off a card or two and then usually forget to the next one. I had a wonderful package all ready to mail to my niece and nephew for Valentines day.... it is still in the back seat of my car! I doubt the chocolates have survived the 90 degree heat...
My husband's family is fabulous at remembering to send cards. They send my son cards for Easter and Halloween even! My husband's grandmother who is 102 sends me a birthday card every year!
With this discussion post, I am vowing to do a better job with this from here on out... Check back with me in a couple of months to see if I held onto this vow!
How about you?

We keep a calendar with all the birthdates etc. on it. We check it at the beginning of every month and get any cards needed, write them, put postage on them and put them in a place where we see them every day, and when it comes time to mail them they are ready so we just pop them in the mail. This helps a lot.

I used to be really good at sending cards. I would sometimes send cards for no reason at all, just to let a friend or loved one know that I was thinking of them. Since I've had kids though and due to alot going on in my life right now, I've gotten terrible at sending out cards. I have 2 boxes of greeting cards that have been sitting there for a couple of years, basically untouched.
I even used to make my own cards, with rubber stamps and notestock paper. Those are all sitting there, gathering dust, too.

I make my own cards sometimes, and I'm still pretty bad at sending some of them out. I have an easy time at certain points of the year, because half of my family has birthdays in March and April. So I just get out a big stack of cards, and send them in two batches--one for the March crowd, one for the April crowd. Beyond that, though, I have a much more difficult time remembering to write out and mail the cards. The people who have birthdays near Christmas usually just get an extra present to unwrap at Christmas, and the people during other parts of the year might get a phone call. :)
