Take out pizza or those frozen one bought at the store are not that great for your health. Those typically use cheese that is high in fat, more meat than veggies (the meat is poor quality), and high sodium tomato sauces. If you make pizza at home with low sodium or homemade tomato, more healthy toppings (i.e. veggies), whole wheat crust, and skim or part-skim cheese then pizza is not so bad.

no pizzas are not good for health as they contain melted cheese which has saturated fat which is not at all good for health and increases cholestrol in blood

I think pizza isn't good for your health because most pizzas have a lot of fat. this isn't good because it cloggs your arteries and can lead to heart attack or stroke (if you eat too much fat).

I was told by a health deptment nurse that pizza is good for you. The reason she said this is because it does or can contain all five food groups. Crust is grain, tomatoes sauce is fruit, peppersonins and things are vegetables, cheese is dairy. So it does or can contain all five food group there for it must be healthy.right? Oh and you know there in some fat in it and everthing contains a natural sugar.

I'm pretty sure that pizza isn't that good for u. It contains a lot of fat and is usually greasy which is bad 4 u. Although it's bad 4 u, eating it once in awhile isn't that bad 4 u.

pizza be healthy if you only eat moderate amount on our body needs 'coz pizza has the crust for carbohydrate source, pizza or tomato sauce high in lycopene, meat toppings for protein then much more if you add vegetable toppings for different minerals in onions, bell pepper, olives, pineapple, celery and parsley and garlic. cheese toppings are also good calcium source for healthy bones.
be a wise pizza eater knowing the flavor you ordered be of less fat as well.

Take out pizza or frozen pizza aren't usually very healthy, but you can make a healthy version. You can make your own using low fat products, and healthier versions of whatever you want.
If you want to order out for pizza, you can make it healthier by choosing your toppings carefully. If you are concerned about the fat in the cheese, ask them to go light on the cheese. They will do this and it will lessen the fat content. Less meats and more veggies on your pizza will also make it healthier.

No offense taken, but I still had to say what was on my mind even if others mentioned parts of what I wanted to say. I love lots of cheese on my pizza and would rather order extra cheese than ask them to leave a little off, but hey, if you want healthy I guess you have to do that. I figure that a little extra fat does not hurt occasionally as long as I don't do it often.
When I make my own I can control exactly what goes into it, and sometimes I will add some extra cheese as long as I'm using low fat cheese. I try to go easy on the meats, if I add any at all, and if I want more toppings, I load it up with fresh veggies. The veggies are good for you, so as long as you do not overdo the rest, I do not see anything wrong with eating pizza.
Thanks for the best response.

Some pizza has yeast as one of the ingredients but not all and yeasr is not good for our health. Some uses baking powder instead of yeast. But, the toppings there are very nutritious, just like you have eaten a complete meal.

It really depends on what you put on it and how greasy you make it. If you pile tons of pork, sausage and other meats of course it isn't going to be good for you. It'll have tons of protein that's for sure!
But if you only put a little cheese and some veggies and don't indulge and eat a whole pizza you should be fine to have it every once in a while. But just like anything, limit yourself.
Homemade pizzas are a lot healthier than the fast food Pizza Hut kinds that are packed full of grease!
