It's more than 50 days now since poor Maddie was abducted. This story has hit the hearts of thousands world wide, unfortunately, it hasn't hit the abductors! I have read so many blogs, forums and discussion sites regarding this issue, and so many people blame the parents for this terrible incident! Ok, so maybe it was a misguided conception that their children would be safe, and I'm pretty sure these parents will be suffering from guilt for the rest of their lives, but...aren't all the people blaming the paretns forgetting one major thing here? The person who is wholey responsible for this, and the person who is totally in the wrong, is the depraved individual that abducted the poor little girl! He/She/They, and he/she/they alone, are the real guilty party/ies in this. My message to these people, who quite heartlessly blame the parents for thier daughter's abduction is this: A year or so ago a child was abducted from the bath while her Mother was in the house. Was her Mother in the wrong for leaving the little girl alone, for a few minutes, in the bath? When Holly and Jessica were murdered, was it their parents fault, for not knowing where their 10yr old daughters were? Have you never allowed your child to play in the back garden, while you popped in to make lunch? How many parents have left their children with a babysitter and come home worse for wear and fallen into a deep drunken slumber? When I was young, my Mother used to tuck me up into bed, and then go and do a puzzle book in the garden under the summer sun. Was she in the wrong for leaving me alone in the house, albeit, on her own property? Yes, three young children should not have been left alone, but as I said before the main person who is to blame for this is the person/s who abducted the child. There is no such thing as a perfect parent and we ALL make mistakes. This is NO excuse for a derranged individual that is obviously mentally unstable, to abduct, r*pe, murder or abuse a child and passing the guilt of the crime committed, benefits no one!
