dualcore processor

according to my view i think dualcore is of waste of cost because ther is now that much difference in the speed of the system... so its just waste of cost... yes/no?

If Dual-Core processors just came out of no-where, then your statement might actually have some validity. However, dual core has not come forth in a vacuum!
There have been other elements of PC Technology that have progressed, to further enhance the performance of other parts of a Desktop PC.
PCI-Express- Faster and faster bus access, mostly used for video processing.
SATA- Greater throughput, and now using serial, rather than parallel comminications, which gives some greater flexibility in the packet sizes.
Memory/RAM has not stood still, but continues to be refined with faster and faster modules coming out in an not infrequent basis.
So that takes the main cores of the internal workings of a PC and have made them accellerate as well.. Now to the question of whether you as an end user need a dual core system?
That's going to depend on what you are going to do. What programs do you want to execute today? (Insert Microsoft logo here. ; ) )
