Xara can beat photoshop some day?

I have used the trial versions of photoshop, corel, ulead and xara for the past four years or so. I found the learning curve of xara steepest and photoshop the shallowest. Ulead is more user firendly and corel is as good as photoshop. I still discover some thing new in photoshop even after 4 years. But xara I am almost well versed and can use to optimum. I found a combination of ulead photoimpact and xara is as good as photoshop. I wish I could get some input on my views from some one with more experience in any or all of these photo programmes so that people can form an opinion before they buy these softwares. Even if there is any other software free or paid that can match these will be an added input.
