What do you use Livejournal for? Reading fanfiction, actually blogging, messing with graphics, keeping up with friends, etc.?

My short answer would be yes, but that wouldn't be much fun to read. I mainly blog. I have made some good friends through LJ and I try to keep up with them. I have a journal each for posting my graphics, my Book of Shadows and theology notes, gardening, short stories and poetry I have written, recipes and cooking tips, crafting and then my daily misc stuff. I love my live journal. I have a Myspace account but other then keeping up with and finding new bands I think it sucks. Mylot has been the only site to really compete with my enjoyment of LJ for about two years now.

Oooh. I love posting graphics. What's a "Book of Shadows", though? Sounds like Charmed.

It's a lot like that. I am a pagan and a witch. Mine mainly contains research on theology in general, deities and Sabbats though.

That's pretty freakin' awesome. Not something I'd get into, but fun, nonetheless.

I love my Livejournal. I don't post as much as I used to, or as much as I would like to for that matter. I always *think* about what I would like to post though. When I do post, I tend to post when I need to vent or when I have especially cute pictures of my kids. There are a ton of excellent communities on there, and I am always searching for new ones to join about any number of topics. I have really met a ton of super nice people on there. Some I have even met in real life. It's so strange the relationshipd you can form over the internet without ever meeting the people.

I actually would tend to agree with you. Very strong bonds can be formed just from talking to someone on the internet and that in itself is a scary concept. There's eighty million communities on Livejournal. There's so many that sometimes I wonder how in the world LJ's servers many to keep all of that data. There's at LEAST millions, if not billions. I haven't actually made a *real* post in ages. I suppose I only need to make posts when I have something interesting to say, which when I think about it, it doesn't happen very often.

I use my livejournal for all the above reasons you said. But the main reason is to keep up with those that I have met through there and have stayed connected with mostly that way. I love getting feedback/comments from my friends and tend to get disappointed when I don't get any. I try my best to leave comments for my friends, but have been very lacking in that in the last year or so. But I love my livejournal and probably will never leave it.

Yeah. I love to get comments. I rarely actually post any entries, though.

I use livejournal for writing my own entries about what's going on, and I use it to vent whenever I'm having a bad time, or just want to remember something. I also use it to read fanfiction in some communities, look at harry potter art, keeping up with friends and reading communities that interest me. It's a great place to find information on pretty much anything. So it's a great place to do research and find new friends.

Oh. I love Livejournal for use as a community. The whole "Friends Page" really works wonders.

Livejournal is great to have all kinds of things on one page (my flist). Fanfiction, (fan)art, friends' blog entries, news, discussions... Livejournal is probably my most frequented site on the internets.

I use Livejournal for keeping up with my friends. I recently moved across the country, so I don't see a lot of my old friends. I've also got some friends on Livejournal that I have never met in person, and probably never will, but I still consider them good friends. Occasionally, I will end up making a friend on Livejournal that I would have never made without it!
