How do you react to something like this? And how different are we, really?

This lady sells someone a couple pictures of cell phones for some $467 on eBay, then appears in Judge Judy's courtroom with a smirk on her face, tenaciously holding that it's all above board. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJDK6ctRjqw How did this affect you? What was your reaction when you saw the video? What were your thoughts as the story unfolded, then as you listened to the defendant's response? I can only admit that, while I am supposed to be a born-again Christian, in this world but not of it, my immediate reaction was indeed a haughty one. I thought to myself, "You earth scum!" To make matters worse, I have actually lied and stolen in my lifetime. Coincidentally, today happens to be a Sunday, and I got back from church a few hours ago. I'd like to believe that I would have corrected myself on any day of the week, and it may be true. But looking back on my initial reaction to this video, with given retrospect of my own past, I come to realize that I do have reason to be humble. For the defendant and her husband, it is my hope and prayer that they will one day be enlightened. For their children, it is my hope and prayer that they will not grow up with moral values such as those displayed in this video. For myself, it is my hope and prayer that I slowly but surely learn humility and forgiveness. Now that I've probably weirded somebody out, I will plainly say it is not my intention at all to justify the things that scammers do. I do not condone it at all; I'm just giving myself a reminder that I must sow forgiveness if I intend to reap it. And I offer this as a brotherly reminder to anyone else who is open to it. If I manage to enlighten one person, while getting myself cursed out in multiple languages by a hundred more, it's worth it. :)
