Real Vanilla or Artificial Flavoring?

I too much prefer real vanilla over the imitation stuff. There is no comparison in taste! Also, I wonder what the chemicals are in the imitation stuff! I know that there is a huge difference in price, but I would rather use it less often and savor the delicious taste than to spend less, use it more and not enjoy it as much!

Absolutely only real. I refuse to ever eat anything artificial. It's why I make *everything* from scratch. Even mayonnaise.

If I am really honest now I have never had the real Vanilla I have always had the Artificial one so I really can not tell you which one is better I have never ever seen the real one but then I have never looked for it

So do I it has a much better taste then the artifical does.

Well I have only boughten imitation vanilla- I don’t think I even know where to buy real vanilla- tell me it’s right next to the imitation right- but more expensive? Lol.. I bake hardly never! So I don’t use it often-

In my house, whatever he picks up from the grocery store and comes in that little brown bottle that can be stored in the pantry and used many of times. I am not picky in that aspect. I am happy when I have it and have a use for it. :)

This is silly, but vanilla is one of the few things I can't taste a diffrence between fresh and aritificial. I have tried, but to me they both taste the same. Goofy isn't it? LOL

There is nothing like the real thing vanilla. especailly if u use it in cakes and in your pancakes..it smells like heaven...this is totally making my mouth water.....

Though it is much more expensive, I have to say that I agree with you. I tried artificial once and it was definitly not the same. I'd rather pay more and get the best results.

Real Vanilla is much better. It has a better taste and stronger. I just love to use real vanilla. However, I cant always purchase it as it is too expensive so often I have to use immitation vanilla.

Real is always best but I have to be honest here I have never tried the real stuff and I have never seen it anywhere. I'll have to look for it.

I always buy real vanilla extract, but I can't honestly say that I prefer it, because I haven't tried the artificial stuff. If I taste-tested it side by side, I'll bet I would go for the real thing, because I don't care for anything artificial.
