Have you ever been to a Lush store's Grand Opening Party?

I have been to two, one at Somerset and one at Novi. Both locations are in the metro Detroit area. I got a great goody bag at the Somerset one, which had a lip balm, a shower gel and a butterball. However, that store was packed on that day, it was nuts! Yesterday I went to the Novi grand opening, where I got a bath bomb that is shaped into an American Flag. One of them has a $100 gc to lush inside. Its so cute. I want to save it but at the same time I want to see if I won!

No, I have never been to a Grand Opening but I am anxiously awaiting the Providence, RI grand opening party. I keep checking a Lush forum thread for any new announcements since the store should be opening very soon. I have my fingers crossed that the goody bags are just as nice as the one you got at Somerset. I would love to get a special grand opening bomb like the one you got. I know they gave the same ones away at an Ohio store opening. I saw a picture of the bomb.. it is pretty cute.. you must use it though. You would kick yourself later if you found out you had won the $100. You might want to take a picture of the bomb before you use it.
By the way, what does the bomb smell like??

I've gone to a LUSH grand opening party. Sadly, this was before they started making special products to commemorate the opening of the store. Instead we all got huge goody bags with full containers of Karma Kreme and other goodies. It was a ton of fun and there was trivia and prizes. It was a lot like the other LUSH parties only amped up a bit. I high reccommend that anyone who has a chance to go to one should go. The only bad thing is that the place was totally packed and you could barely get a chance to see all the goodies that were in the store.

I was supposed to go to the Grand Opening of the one in Tampa and was really excited about it. I was going to go right from a doctors appointment. They had to take blood (4 vials) and I just about passed out... so I had to miss the Lush party because I didn't trust myself to drive the 45 minute trip. :(

I've never been to a grand opening, but I would love to! I wanted to make it to the west edmonton mall one this month, but I live so far away now I ended up missing it. And I remember shopping at the WEM Lush years ago before they closed down there! It's nice that they're back in the mall though, I think the new location should work well for them! I should check the forum to see if anyone posted details after the party...
