oh my god, i need help, my baby don't want to eat solid food,he just love milk and milk only.
i tried to give him rice congee when he was six months and he just spit it out,and it turn out to be a mess aww!!!
and now he is going to be nine months old, and i still force him to open his mouth and eat rice,he really do not like to eat rice and crackers.
so i resource to putting cerelac on his milk so that he would have cereals.
he is so active, he plays a lot, he crawls,he rolls etc. and i am afraid that he will be lack of substancial vitamins for his growth. what will i do?

He will eat when he is ready, but if you cut down on his milk he may try other things, please don't force him!!! Put things out like cereal, baby cookies, if you just leave it there he will try it sooner or later....Mabe he does not like rice, try baby food and talk to him while you feed him a little at a time. Give him baby vitamins if you are worried.

WE are raising our grandaughter thts 16 and she has a babt 5 months old.. he doesnt like rice either.. what we do is mix some fruit with his rice, and LOVES it. if you ever tried that baby rice its awful. he does like the \vegatables, and all the other foods.. so you might want to try giving you baby something else.. its all trail and error..

Relax, Krislouiebaby...unless your son is showing a weight loss....do not worry too much....
Try another cereal...maybe he does not like rice cereal....but don't try to force him to eat...eating should be a pleasureble experience....you do not want him to associate food with being forced to eat....
If you are truly concerned...talk to his pediaician...they can give you suggestions that mightalso help...at least make them award of the difficulties that you are having trying to get him to eat...
Is he sleeping all night? If he is, then I would not be too concerned unless he begins to loose weight...
It sounds like he is doing fine with his developement in every other area...
He will want to experiment with food soon....try some of those teething biscuits that Gerber sells...they are semi-sweet and all of my kids really liked them....but beware they are messy....
Good luck, Hun...do not panic...He is getting vitamins through his formula....take care!

It's possible that he just doesn't like rice. My daughter hated rice cereal, so I tried oatmeal. She liked that better, but it was still a pain and she would cry when I fed her. Once I switched to regular baby foods, she eats with gusto!! She loves her veggies and meat dinners. Check out the stores to see if they have breakfast baby food in jars. Gerber and Beech Nut both have breakfast foods that he may like better. At nine months, he should be eating at least veggies and fruits. Give those a try too
