Do celebrities get special treatment?

In response to the paris hilton sentencing, does anybody think that celebrities get off easily in the justice system all because of their status. Im mean if I was drinking and driving they would have proably locked me up for a good year. What are your thoughts

Of course they do. Paris Hilton first got out of jail due to her being friends with the sheriff. And then they put her in a separate jail for celebrities. If that is not special treatment I do not know what is. And on top of that she will be getting $1,000,000 to give an interview of her time in jail.

I know being paid $1 million for committing a crime. Shes a great role model for younger people. "hey kids, commit and crime and get paid." I hope someone slaps her. I would like to she hilton placed in a military camp, that would make for some great laughs...eh.
