It seems that UPA candidate will become the next president. But, let us not forget that the race to Rashtrapati bhavan is not over. The UNPA is yet to decide. I don't think they will abstain from the elections. Although, that seems to be the more likely stand, it will send out wrong signal to the voters! But, their position right now is to spoil the chances of both Mrs. Patil and Mr. Shekhawat. The leaders of UNPA (especially Ms. Jayalalitha!) will try their best to spoil the dreams of UPA and NDA. I will not be surprised if they field a new candidate now. If they do, it will definitely impact the chances of Mrs. Patil. Lets see what happens!!!!
