Madonna or Cyndi Lauper?

Both of them are great singers! I really admired the way they sing their songs and of course their songs!
They used to have a tight competition because they were just lovable and their music will really make you feel dancing. However, Madonna has a great strategy, to transform her image into a sexy artist. That is why Madonna had able to surpass Cyndi Lauper.

Cyndi all the way for me! I do like Madonna, though i'm not as much a fan of her now or of her music now as i was when i was younger and of her earlier music. I'm a huge Cyndi fan though, so even though she has been less successfulm (and less well known in the uk) i have to say her over Madonna.

I like them both, but I think I like Cyndi more. It's just that Cyndi didn't compromise and Madonna compromised so she could remain popular. It just depends what you want in your life, to be true to yourself or to compromise and be popular. I believe we have all made that decision especially in the school setting.

A intresting comparisson since they debuted in the same year. I think madonna has made more of a name for herself then cyndi ever did. I like a lot of cyndi's songs but I think madonna is the better artist. She has put out more records and has had more success on the charts.

I do like them both, but will say madonna only because she has been able to maintain staying on the charts after all these years, when it seem like cyndi has vanshied from the spotlight.

I grew up loving both, so there is no way I could choose. I have my Cyndi moods and then I have my Madonna moods. Cyndi is more off the beaten track, Madonna is more mainstream.

Definitely Madonna! She's an icon! She has her own style and she can cope in every genre and generation. She doesn't go out of style!
