no. i dont cook in my house. only my mother cooks. she doesnt plan what to cook the next day beforehand. she plans only on the day. but if there is any party or if there are any guests then she will plan what to cook beforehand.

Yes, I have to plan or I never get a chance to think about it until it's suppertime and I'm like "Oh Crap! What are we going to have?" I have actually started making a menu for 2 weeks. It makes it easier to prepare a nice complete meal. It also makes grocery shopping a little easier too. You buy exactly what you need for all of your meals and you don't end up with a lot of junk food. it takes a lot of time to plan that far ahead, but i think it is worth the extra time and effort.

I never used to plan in the previous day. But I will plan in the same morning. I will have a plan what to cook, How to cook. After making the plan, I will check the kitchen store . If something is not there first I will line up everything and start cooking

hello ackars, yes it is better to plan ahead so that i wont freak out what to cook and if i missed a certain ingredient i could find it and if its not available i could replaced it with the similar food groups...but sometimes i just cook watever ill find in the pantry or just mixing up the left overs and make a new taste or menu out of it :D ... nice posting :)

I don't plan ahead. But after going from office, I make up my mind first what to cook for dinner. Somedays I will be too lazy and just have rice and curd. My husband also adjusts to anything I make and so it is OK for me. For breakfast, it is more unplanned. We don't prepare lunch as we get it from office itself.

Im kinda wishy-washy in this respect. I will plan most of the time for dinners, if for no other reason but to defrost the meat. (I buy in bulk at Costco and have a good stock of meat in a spare freezer downstairs.) Now, if it slips my mind, and it slips my fiance's mind to take something out, we do have some things we can do that don't take much prep. So in that case, we are versatile enough to have a plan B if we forget to plan.
