what do you think about punk music after the 80's?

after the old school punk period, when everybody thought that punk is dead, (well, it's not :P ) in the 80's started a new movement. what do you think about exploited? were they able to make punk alive again? in my opinion are lots of great bands after the 80's like adolescents, minor threat, fugazi, 7seconds.
