Hi,superramki i think they both have their advantages as well as disadvantages as contact lens are less secure than glasses since it can aggregate diseases such as conjunctivitis. so think i would prefer glasses than contact lenses as they are more secure.

I also feel the same way. Spectacles do not need that much care as needed by contact lenses. Even in wearing and taking off, contact lenses require more time and precautions.

I think lenses are more convenient, they do require the care but only once a day, and that's quite ok with it.. I don't like wearing glasses, and therefore I switched to lenses about a year and a half back, and its been a good experience for me.. Now I never wish to wear spectacles again...

I have been using spectacles for the last 13 years. Always thought of having contact lenses but when I think of the intense care i should give for them, I just feel comfortable with my specs. Specs also require the care but I dont think it needs as much as contact lenses. Since I have been using specs for this long, I am already comfortable with it and I dont think i will be changing it in the near future !

I prefer contacts. They are especially better when it is raining outside. I don't have to protect them to keep from getting water on them. They are also better when it is cold outside. They don't fog up when I go indoors. And I can see anywhere without having to move my head sideways or up and down. They are also better for playing sports, as they don't get in the way and don't get perspiration on them. I wear contact lenses that I can leave in overnight. I take them out usually once every two weeks to clean them overnight, and then change to new ones once a month. Nothing could be more convenient than that, other than not needing glasses or contacts in the first place.

I agree with you contacts are much more difecult to take care of. I think it also has to do with the individual and there daily routene. For me I have glasses for when my eyes start bothering me from being on the computer so much.
