Me and my mother in law have a really good relationship. Sometimes she can pry alot, and sometimes I think she does too much for us-- but that's just her. I'm greatful she looks out for us and helps us out. We have a better relationship than that of her and her own daughter. I often wonder if the relationship we have is even better than her and my husband. She calls me all of the time and we gossip like hens.

I have a wonderful mother-in-law too. My own mom is in a different country so my mother-in-law is the closest thing to a Mom to me here. She has also helped us out in many, many ways. I can talk to her about anything..sometimes even things that I can't even tell my own mom. I will call her at least once a week to chat. I feel so blessed to have her and also my father-in-law. My in-laws once flew in to help me for a whole weekend while my husband was deployed. I can't ask for more.

Youre lucky... my former mother in law... is a big head ache. She used to fabricate stories... andshe is against her daughter/son inlaws whenever they are not around but nice when around. You know what I mean...
Youre really lucky to have a good mother in law... be thankful.

I am with you...I wouldn't know what to do without my mother-n-law. I am divorced from her son and she still to this day treats me like her daughter. I dont think my ex is truly aware of how close she and I are, but that's cool. I have a son, and I feel that because that's her 1st grandchild, she and I will always remain close. I am actually out of work right now, and she gave me a $1000. check to help out with my bills. My ex doesn't even know about it. She just wanted to keep it between her and I. She's amazing and I hope to never not have her in my life. GREAT POST! Hooray for those great mom-n-laws out there!!

My soon to be mother-in-law is definately growing on me. I was a sore spot during most of the 10 years that my fiance' and I were dating, but we've made peace now. And, since then it has been a wonderful relationship.
