Hi, my mother tongue is Filipino, and my second language is English. At home and in school, sometimes it is English that is being used all the time. It is almost like our native tongue already. Our major tabloids are all in English, and so is the medium of instruction in schools and universities. Welcome to mylot. You will find this a very interesting site.

Mine is either Polish or English; I'm sure which one I spoke first. My parents have always spoken Polish to me, but my older sister has always spoken English, so... I grew up equally with both, I'd say.

My mother tongue is Cebuano. Next is Filipino and English.
People from Cebu speak Cebuano but the language used by all Filipinos is Filipino.
It is like Tagalog but more formal.
