I do always check the dates of the production and expiration dates. As much as possible I would buy meds which have at least more than a year shelf life. Especially when buying eyedrops, creams for burns, cuts, etc. because we seldom uses it. Do you check on the dates?

I always check dates.. especially after a friend of mine had an old contraceptive pill packet in her bathroom cabinet and just started using it? I mean what was she thinking!!... she has a 3 year old boy now!
I also have a 6 month girl - but mine was planned.
(I also check all the dates of the baby medicines just incase... I'm sure UNLIKE supermarkets (ever bought bread the same day it is has reached it's sell by date ?!! I know I have! I do think they will be correct - but I always check?
But you can taste, smell and look at food being off but you can't tell if medicine is off??
By it being non-affective, and side affects?? mmmm!!

Its not good taking expired medicines, we dont know what the side effects might be. I agree to that, also check the expiration dates of canned goods and foods. But when Im in a hurry, sometimes I dont get to check it. If ever I'll get an expired item, I will just return it in the store... though it will be a hassle. Thanks for the comment. And welcome to mylot lindaleagh :)

When I go to the pharmacy to buy medicines, I won't look at the expiration dates. As I believe that they should provide us the medicines which are still valid. If not, they will be so sorry to it as I can be very tough:)

Yes. In fact, thanks for reminding me, I have to refill a prescription because it is about to expire. Medicines tend to lose their potency when they are sitting for a long time, especially after that date. I once was sold expired medication!

Its must to check the date of expiry as u dont want to be serious enough by getting admitted to a hospital or something.
It once happened to me,that i ate something wrong plus also my family members, and we all got sick may be by some food poisoning stuff or something else and went to the doctor for injections.
I always remember this day bcoz all family members sick.....great!
