Dirty Dogs, how often do you wash your dog?

When a dog rolls in something nasty you have to wash the dog. If the dog rolls in nothing disgusting and is just a normal dog, doing normal dog things, then how often do you wash them? Do you do it at home or do you take them to a doggy wash? Would you call a mobile doggy wash if you could and have someone else do it for you at the doorstep?

Our pet Casper has his bath regularly every Saturday. My son gives him his bath. Casper is a white Japanese Spitz and looks so pretty whenever he just has his bath. He likes the attention he gets after he takes a bath. All the kids hug him and kiss him because he smell so nice! He looks like a big white cotton ball right after his bath. He doesn't have a single tick or flea because we always keep him clean and nice-smelling all the time.

LOL! I wash my dog about once every two months, unless he rolled in something disgusting. He loves the water as long as he controls when he gets in and out, and how wet he wants to be. If I am doing the washing in the tub, he is not a happy camper! I have never paid someone to wash my dog. I can do it just as well, and he is obviously more comfortable with me.

I can't stand having a dirty dog as our dog is an indoor dog. I would hate having her rub all that dirt all over the house. If she goes out to play a lot, I will take her to the groomer's once a month. If she stays at home a lot more and doesn't get that dirty, I take her every 2 months. She's a big dog so it's hard for me to wash her at home. It's easier to just take her to the groomer. They do a really good job with her and she comes home SO clean and smelling so nice.
