Does anyone know what 'transpersonal' means? If you are unfamiliar with the term my web domain can explain it to you here:http://www.enlightenment-psych.net
However, to create a discussion I should not send my readers elsewhere, unless they so desire, but I must set a preface up to work from right here at myLot. So here goes . . .
'Transpersonal' is a realm of psychology that focuses on the connections between Spirit, Mind & Body using all available channels of exploration plus feeling, sensing and thinking our way through this life. It addresses the paranormal, metaphysical, imagination, intuitive capacity and humor the human being can appreciate or not.
It is referred to as the "fourth force" in the field of psychology, the other three are psychoanalysis, behaviorism, and Humanistic psychology. Transpersonal theory suggests these other 'forces' have failed to give weight to transpersonal or "transegoic" elements of human existence such as religious conversion, altered states of consciousness, spirituality and near-death experiences in their academic fashion.
There is a major surge in studying consciousness . . .
I would like to know how this force has worked its way into your life, knowingly or even perhaps, unknowingly? and what has changed from this realization?
sharing the light,
