Child's Birthday Party

An acquaintance of my husband invited us to their son's b-day party, I thought that it was odd that it was being held at 8pm. When we arrived I noticed something even stranger there was more beer than there was things for the children. There were very few children invited, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and we stayed a few minutes, well the adults were just getting drunk and the children were in the boys bedroom playing video games. I didn't care for the enviroment and neither did my husband and we left early 9pm. I felt we lasted to long. Well, I got the impression that this was an adult part not a child's b-day party. What do you think adult or children's party.
