is reality tv getting out of control?

Hey I was just wondering, is reality TV getting out of hand. There are so many out their today. such as "ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 2nd GRADER?". Come on, it seems like everyone is trying to make a buck ir two off this genre. Does anyone else out their feel the same way?
