Christian Bale, the best batman yet?

Many of you may have noticed that every Batman has a new actor playing the man in black. Christian Bale is a great actor playing in films such as "American Psycho" and a great many others.
The topic of this discussion is: Do you think Christian Bale is the best BATMAN? If so why? and if not who?

I think that Val Kilmer is the best, but Christian comes in a close seconed.

Yes, I think Christian Bale is the best Batman. A lot of people would disagree and say that Michael Keaton was better, but I think that Michael Keaton played a good Batman, but only a mediocre Bruce Wayne. Christian Bale was good as both Batman and as Bruce Wayne, which is important for that role.

I think the biggest problem they have with finding the right Batman is that they have to get someone who can play both characters well; Batman and Bruce Wayne. Michael Keaton did a good job with Bruce, but was a little lackluster as Batman. Val Kilmer, I thought, made a better Batman than Bruce, and George Clooney, well, even star power can't guarantee a good part.
Christian did a magnificent job with both parts. I think he did the best so far and am glad he's back. I hope he stays in the part for a while, even.
Let's not discount Chris Nolan's writing and interpretation, either. I think he did a much better job capturing the real story than did Tim Burton. Burton seemed to try to continue the almost comedic path of the TV show rather than what DC Comics started.
Can't wait for the new one.
