I don't police it to a set amount. They can watch tv when they please, as long as the program is suitable and there is nothing else they should be doing (schoolwork, chores, etc). They are both active, bright kids, and I feel no need to put limits and restrictions on such things. They both tend to do other things even while watching tv. Occasionally if I get tired of the noise, and I think the weather is nice, I'll kick them outside for a bit longer, but that is my issue, not theirs! lol In the summer we go out a lot, they spend most of their days swimming or at the park, so if they want down time in front of the tv, I see no harm. Likewise in the winter.

they can watch every night after doing their assignments. but only until 9:00pm
